Chloe Kim, 17, Becomes Youngest To Win Olympic Snowboarding Gold Medal
The high expectations set for Chloe Kim before the PyeongChang Olympics were met when the 17-year-old delivered a flawless performance which earned her the Olympic gold medal in women's snowboard halfpipe early Tuesday in South Korea, according to NBC News. Kim's first run had her landing a backside air, frontside 1080, cab 720, frontside 900, McTwist, and a frontside inverted 720. The performance earned Kim a large lead through her 93.75 score over the rest of the competitors.
